A few small steps make all the difference.
Caring for your tights
Tights are delicate by nature, but with the right care they’re designed to last. Fit is everything. A tight that’s too small is under tension and more prone to damage. If you’re between sizes, we recommend sizing up.

1. Before you wear them, give them a stretch
CARING FOR YOUR STOCKINGS
Pre-stretching the tights, by placing one hand on the foot of one leg, and the other on the top of part of the tights and pulling them apart, gently, helps to get the yarn ready and mobile to be put on. This also promotes a longer life for the yarn. We recommend doing this after every wash.

2. Scrunch them up, one leg at a time
CARING FOR YOUR TIGHTS
Tights aren’t designed to be pulled on in one motion. A more gradual approach helps preserve the fabric and fit.
Scrunch each leg and ease them on to the knee first, allowing the yarn to distribute evenly. Then continue up the leg, adjusting slowly over the hips for a smooth, even finish.

3. Only pull from the bottom up
CARING FOR YOUR TIGHTS
If the yarn feels uneven, it’s best to start again and ease them on more gradually. Trying to adjust the fabric once worn can place unnecessary strain on the yarn.
A smooth, even fit comes from building it up from the base rather than shifting it upwards.

4. Avoid fabric softeners, the dryer and make the most of spot cleaning
CARING FOR YOUR TIGHTS
Refresh between wears where needed, with occasional gentle washing to maintain shape and feel. Hand wash or use a delicate cycle, ideally in a wash bag and avoid fabric softeners. Air dry to preserve elasticity and finish.
